Watzke not interested in ´mind games´

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said they have no interest in waging a war of words with Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness.

Both the sides are located in an amazing battle to the Bundesliga title and Hoeness claimed that when Bayern defeat Dortmund with the Westfalenstadion on April 10, there won't be any stopping them.

Dortmund are top of the Bundesliga table, five points totally free of Bayern.

"We are convinced we will be German champions if we win in Dortmund," Hoeness told Bild. "The instant of truth comes once we play in Dortmund."

Bayern have built up some real momentum late, scoring 15 goals in three successive league wins. Hoeness believes the stress is rising on Dortmund with each passing week and their title rivals could eventually crack.

"Thus far there is a war of attrition by which we now have made little pinpricks," he explained.

But Watzke is paying little awareness of what he feels can be a futile attempt at 'mind games' and argued that Dortmund's 6-1 rout of Cologne on Sunday proves they're handling pressure with the title run-in well.

"This psychological nonsense is childish," Watzke said. "That you do not win any games by talking, but you will when you play even as we did today (Sunday)."

Dortmund are next in working order against Stuttgart on Friday, while Bayern accept Marseille inside Champions League on Wednesday before travelling to Nuremberg on Saturday.
