Inter have sacked Claudio Ranieri as coach just six months after appointing him, the Serie A golf club iron announced on Monday.
The 60-year-old had been under intense pressure from run of a single win in 10 matches left the club languishing in eighth place in the Serie A table, seven points shy with the European qualification places.
Youth team coach Andrea Stramaccioni will need charge on an interim basis, becoming the club's third manager of the season and fifth since Jose Mourinho departed for sure Madrid towards the end from the 2009/10 season.
Ranieri was dismissed within the wake of Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Juventus, Inter's ninth reverse because the start of the year.
