Marseille's Alou Diarra feels his team's lack of experience cost them in a 2-0 Champions League quarter-final defeat to Bayern Munich.
Home side Marseille were beaten 2-0 by goals from Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben in the first leg at the Stade Velodrome on Wednesday.
And Diarra feels the Ligue 1 club could have avoided conceding on both occasions against their Bundesliga visitors.
"You could say experience was the difference," Diarra told UEFA.com
"Both goals we conceded were naive. For the second one, we tried to play a free-kick quickly when we were not in position and we were punished.
"They controlled it from 2-0, but we regret our two errors. We feel extremely disappointed because both goals could have been prevented.
"We played well in the first half. We were committed, we closed them down and stopped them playing. Unfortunately we conceded right on the stroke of half-time. That really hit us hard."
