Former Netherlands midfielder Edgar Davids believes Barcelona will successfully defend their Champions League title.
The 39-year-old, who wore the Barca jersey within a six-month loan spell in 2004, also stressed that Barca are incredibly much in the La Liga title race, despite trailing leaders Real Madrid by six points with nine games remaining.
"Barcelona will not be an average team, but a team brimming with mythological gods," Davids told El Mundo Deportivo.
"They're on another level to all additional teams. They may win the Champions League again."
The ex-Juventus midfielder warned there could be further twists and turns up for grabs inside La Liga race after Real Madrid saw their gap above the Catalans slashed from 10 to 6 points in a week.
"Madrid still hold a cozy lead, but I think which the league will not be decided until the most recent games," he said.
"Barca will fight til the finish, as well as a surprise could possibly be waiting for you if Madrid lose another game."
Barcelona are preparing for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash off to AC Milan.
